Refund & cancellation policy
How deposits, cancellations, and fee adjustments work for Intelligentapiplatform audit and examination engagements.
Scope
This policy applies to professional service fees for financial statement audits, internal control reviews, tax compliance examinations, and special-purpose audits described on this site. It does not cover products, software subscriptions, or goods delivery — we do not sell those.
Eligibility for refunds
Fees already earned for work performed (planning hours, fieldwork days, report drafting) are generally non-refundable. Unused prepaid amounts may be refundable as described below when an engagement is cancelled before the corresponding work begins.
Deposits
A typical deposit of 30% is due on acceptance of the engagement letter and reserves calendar time for your year-end. If you cancel more than 14 days before the scheduled fieldwork start, we refund the unused deposit minus administrative costs of up to NT$8,000 for planning already completed. Cancellations inside 14 days forfeit the deposit to the extent fieldwork slots cannot be reassigned.
Full or partial refunds
If we withdraw for independence reasons before substantive fieldwork, prepaid fees for unperformed stages are refunded in full. If scope shrinks by mutual written agreement after kickoff, we issue a partial credit for stages not started. No refund applies to stages already delivered, including issued draft findings or final reports.
Timeframe to request
Refund requests should be emailed to info@intelligentapiplatform.digital within 30 days of cancellation or of the event giving rise to the claim, with the engagement reference and bank details for repayment.
Non-refundable items
- Completed fieldwork days and issued auditor’s reports or examination memos
- Third-party confirmation fees already paid on your behalf
- Travel costs for inventory observation already incurred with prior approval
Rescheduling & no-shows
One reschedule of fieldwork with at least 7 days’ notice is usually accommodated without extra charge if capacity exists. Shorter notice or client no-shows on agreed observation dates may incur a rescheduling fee reflecting lost team days. Repeated delays that push past statutory or lender deadlines may require a new engagement letter and fee.
Work already started
Once planning memoranda or substantive testing have begun, fees for those phases remain payable even if you later pause the mandate. We will invoice earned amounts and refund only unused prepaid balances after reconciliation.
Processing time & method
Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method or a Taiwan bank account you nominate. Currency is New Taiwan Dollars unless the engagement letter states otherwise.
